ENGC had  a workday on Saturday, June 2nd.  Thanks to the following shooters who showed up to police the ranges, get rid of junk, weed-whack, and organize the shed.  We worked from 8:00am to nearly 1:00pm.  Thanks to Tom Shotkoski, Les Nielson, Dick Marx, John Mark, Doug Davis and Terry Begley.

NOTICE!!  Posted Friday 3/2/07 at 9:30pm: The Pistol Match originally scheduled for Sunday, March 4th has been postponed.  Due to circumstances beyond our control, the range is closed so we cannot hold our match.  It seems that a large road maintainer, being used to plow the road loading into the range, is stuck about 2/3rds of the way down the road as well as two other trucks that tried to pull it out.  No one can get past it.  Heavy equipment is being brought in on Monday to remove the equipment and open the road.  Until that happens, the range is closed and all matches will not be held.  Please call or email Terry if you have any questions.

ENPS match schedule for 2007  Please note that the shooting starting time is 10:00am due to winter weather during the months of January, February and March.  We'll give this a try and see how it works out.

The annual banquet was held on Saturday, January 13th.  A good time was had by all!  Pictures will be coming soon.  Thanks to Ken Young for frying the turkeys, and Edie Young for roasting a turkey and a ham, and her delicious deviled eggs!

From Ken Young: KEY5106@aol.com
I have a blue serving spoon and a black stocking cap left at the banquet. Also we are missing a large white handle serrated carving knife if someone accidentally picked it up.

Thanks
Ken

Some interesting statistics from 2006:

From Brian Enos' site:
"Manny Bragg confirmed that the Area 3 match will be October 12-14th in Rolla, MO. That is the weekend after the Fall Classic. Busy place!"

Mapquest shows it as being 406 miles from Omaha.

The Nebraska State Patrol has a website up and running about the new CCW permit process, which starts on January 1, 2007.  http://www.nsp.state.ne.us/FindFile.asp?ID=1587

Just a reminder that we are enforcing the 9:00am signup rule.  If you are running late, call one of the Match Committee members and we can add you to the Palms.  It's better to be safe than sorry!

REMINDER: Be sure to to send in your Range Officer exams to renew your certification.  It's important to keep them current.  Remember that you cannot RO any stages if you are not certified.
